Nick Golding

Professor Nick Golding holds the UWA Chair in Infectious Disease Modelling at the University of Western Australia and leads the Infectious Disease Ecology and Modelling division at The Kids Research Institute Australia. His work integrates mathematical and statistical modelling, ecology, and public health to address globally significant pathogens.

Research focuses on mosquito-borne diseases like malaria, Dengue fever, Chikungunya, and Ebola, with recent emphasis on COVID-19 pandemic response through the Doherty Institute Modelling Report. His geospatial and computational models inform health policy and intervention strategies.
