Nick Dempsey is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Monash University's Department of Forensic Medicine and the Academic Division of the Victorian Institute of Forensic Medicine. His work integrates AI with forensic medicine, focusing on facial anatomy reconstruction from skeletal remains to aid missing persons identification. He collaborates with the UN Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) to enhance guidelines for protecting human remains from unlawful killings. Dempsey holds a PhD in Forensic Medicine from Monash University, awarded in 2022.
