Australian National University (ANU)معرفی
Nick Cox is a Senior Lecturer and Associate Director (Research) at the Research School of Chemistry, Australian National University (ANU). He holds a PhD from ANU (2008) and was a postdoctoral fellow at the Max Planck Institute for Bioinorganic Chemistry (2009-2015). His research focuses on biological and biomimetic enzymes, with expertise in Electron Paramagnetic Resonance (EPR) spectroscopy, catalysis, and energy systems. Cox leads Australia’s premier high-field EPR facility, including a W-band spectrometer, fostering collaborations across the Asia-Pacific.
Research interests span metallocofactor function, photosynthetic electron transfer, synthetic enzymes, and method development in EPR. Recent work includes studies on CO₂ reduction catalysts, photocatalytic materials, and water-splitting mechanisms. Key awards include the Founders Medal (2020) and Sir Paul Callaghan Medal (2019).
Publications highlight advancements in EPR applications, defect-engineered materials, and catalytic systems. His work bridges molecular mechanisms to applied energy solutions, with projects funded by ARC Fellowships and industry collaborations. Cox supervises research students, advancing interdisciplinary studies in chemistry and materials science.
