Nicholas Telford is an Associate Professor in the Department of Marketing and Operations at Heriot-Watt University, affiliated with the School of Social Sciences and Edinburgh Business School. He serves as Programme Director for the MA Marketing and holds FHEA status, reflecting his commitment to teaching excellence. He is actively involved in interdisciplinary research and currently leads funded projects on student belonging and product acculturation.
Research Interests: Dr. Telford’s work centers on entrepreneurial marketing, arts and heritage marketing, and microenterprise branding, with a focus on identity and exchange in cultural production. He employs qualitative and multimodal research methods, drawing from his interdisciplinary background in the arts and humanities. His research explores technology adoption in Scotland’s craft sector and the marketing of culturally-specific products.
Publication Trends: His recent scholarly output (2020) consists primarily of co-authored and co-edited contributions to the Handbook of Entrepreneurship and Marketing, indicating a strong engagement with synthesizing and advancing knowledge in entrepreneurial marketing. These works reflect interdisciplinary collaboration and a focus on multicultural and educational aspects of marketing.
