Dr. Nicholas Morris is an Associate Professor of Neurology at the University of Maryland School of Medicine, where he serves as Neurocritical Care Fellowship Program Director, Chair of the Resuscitation Committee, and Associate Director of the Shock Trauma Simulation Center. His clinical expertise focuses on neurocritical care, traumatic brain injury, and subarachnoid hemorrhage management.
His research examines healthcare disparities in stroke and cardiac arrest care, pain management after neurological injury, and simulation-based medical education. Recent work investigates ethnic/gender disparities in post-cardiac arrest targeted temperature management access and virtual reality applications for trauma-related pain.
Publications demonstrate strong focus on neurological emergencies, simulation-based training assessment, and patient safety innovations. Research consistently addresses clinical challenges in neurocritical care through educational interventions and healthcare systems improvements.
