Nicholas H. Warner is Associate Professor of Geological Sciences at SUNY Geneseo. He holds a PhD in Geological Sciences from Arizona State University (2008), MS from SUNY Buffalo (2002), and BA from SUNY Geneseo (2000). Serves as Participating Scientist on NASA's InSight mission, leading geology operations for the Mars lander.
Research specializes in Martian surface processes, sedimentary systems, and landscape evolution using orbital and surface data. Combines field studies of terrestrial analogs (Icelandic jökulhlaups) with planetary remote sensing.
Publications focus on Martian hydrology, sediment transport, and surface-atmosphere interactions, with recent work supporting NASA exploration missions.
