Nicholas Bannan is an Honorary Research Fellow at The University of Western Australia's School of Music, where he serves as Musical Director of The Winthrop Singers and Graduate Research Co-ordinator. He holds a doctorate from the University of Reading (2002) and has held roles such as Director of Music at Desborough School and former conductor of The Esterhazy Singers. His research spans evolutionary origins of music, vocalization, music in child development, and Alzheimer's treatment through singing.
