معرفی
Nia Fogelman is an Associate Research Scientist and Biostatistician at the Yale Stress Center, part of the Yale School of Medicine's Department of Psychiatry. She holds a PhD in Integrative Neuroscience from Stony Brook University and a BA in Psychology from Brandeis University. Her work focuses on the interplay between stress, substance abuse, and clinical health markers, with a particular emphasis on biostatistical analysis and translational research.
As Director of the Quantitative Analytic Core at the Yale Stress Center, Dr. Fogelman leads data-driven projects addressing addiction and stress-related disorders. Her research explores pharmacological interventions (e.g., guanfacine, pregnenolone) for substance use disorders, trauma's impact on substance use, and sex-based differences in stress responses and addiction outcomes.
- Education: PhD in Integrative Neuroscience (Stony Brook University, 2018), BA in Psychology (Brandeis University, 2012)
- Labs/Teams: Yale Stress Center, Quantitative Analytic Core
- Key Collaborators: Rajita Sinha, Stephanie Wemm, Helen Fox, Verica Milivojevic
Her studies frequently integrate neuroimaging, biomarker analysis, and clinical trials to advance understanding of addiction mechanisms. Current projects include evaluating stress-modulating drugs and identifying predictors of treatment success in polysubstance use populations.
