Dr. Dongju Seo is an Associate Professor of Psychiatry at Yale School of Medicine, leading the Laboratory for Healthy Minds and directing Clinical Neuroimaging at the Yale Stress Center. She holds a PhD in Clinical Psychology from the University of Minnesota (2008) and completed postdoctoral training in Psychiatry at Yale (2011). Her research focuses on neurobiological mechanisms underlying stress-related disorders and addiction, employing multimodal neuroimaging techniques like fMRI combined with physiological measures.
Research Themes: 1) Brain-Heart interactions in alcoholism risk, 2) Hormonal stress responses in addiction, 3) Comorbidity of depression and alcohol misuse, 4) Smartphone-based prevention programs. Ongoing studies integrate fMRI with ECG/HPA-axis monitoring and daily smartphone tracking of behaviors.
