Ngoc-Sang PHAM is a Professor of Economics at EM Normandie since 2020, previously holding positions at Montpellier Business School (2016-2020) and University of Lille 3 (2015-2016). He earned his PhD in Economics from Université de Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne (2014) and obtained his Habilitation à Diriger des Recherches (HDR) in 2024.
His research focuses on economic theory (general equilibrium analysis), financial economics, macroeconomic dynamics, and interactions between financial markets and production sectors. Key topics include asset bubbles, foreign direct investment (FDI), foreign aid effectiveness, and climate finance. His work bridges theoretical models with policy-relevant insights, particularly in sustainability and development contexts.
Pham has published extensively in top-tier journals like Economic Theory, Journal of Mathematical Economics, and International Journal of Economic Theory. He actively contributes to international conferences and has authored chapters in Springer volumes on topics ranging from Vietnamese economic development to housing market bubbles. His recent work explores non-monotonic effects of productivity shocks and credit constraints on aggregate production.
