Ngaio Fitzpatrick

Ngaio Fitzpatrick is an Honorary Lecturer and Visiting Fellow at the ANU Institute for Climate, Energy & Disaster Solutions under the ANU College of Science. Her role involves interdisciplinary collaboration between art, science, and policy to address climate change communication. She holds an Honours degree in Glass from ANU's College of Art and Social Sciences and has a professional background in environmentally sustainable architecture.

Her research focuses on representing the intersection of science, art, and politics through performance, imagery, and site-specific installations. Notable works use industrial materials like glass and coal to metaphorically explore human complicity in climate change. The 2016 ANU Vice Chancellors Artists Fellowship enabled her to develop projects at the Canberra Glassworks, a former coal-fired power plant.
