Neville Songwe

Neville Songwe is Professor of Industrial Design at Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) in Savannah, GA, a position he has held since 2017. He holds a Master of Industrial Design from Rhode Island School of Design and a Diploma in Industrial Design and Visual Communication from Istituto Superiore per le Industrie Artistiche. Prior to joining SCAD, he served as Design Lecturer at Rhode Island School of Design (2016-17) teaching AutoCAD, Product Design, and Business Innovation courses.

His professional experience includes serving as Executive Director of nonprofit Urban Ventures (2010-2017), founding principal of Joneso Design (2006-present), and industrial designer at Curitel & Pantech in South Korea (2005-06). Songwe holds four utility patents and has contributed to design projects across multiple domains including healthcare, transportation, and consulting through various professional engagements.
