Neville Owen is a Distinguished Professor in the School of Health Sciences at Swinburne University of Technology and an Adjunct Scientist at the Physical Activity Laboratory, Baker Heart & Diabetes Institute. His research focuses on preventing chronic diseases like type 2 diabetes, cardiovascular disease, and cancer through understanding physical activity, sedentary behaviors, and urban environmental factors.
