Nevenka Galečić

Nevenka Galečić is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Landscape Architecture and Horticulture, Faculty of Forestry, University of Belgrade. Her work focuses on evaluating urban parks and green spaces, emphasizing their use potential, aesthetic value, and integration with cultural-landscape heritage.

• Education: Graduate Forestry Engineer (1992), Master of Forestry Sciences (2000), Doctor of Science (2016) from the Faculty of Forestry, University of Belgrade.

Research Interests: Dr. Galečić investigates the interplay between the health condition of green spaces and their aesthetic value, particularly in Belgrade parks like Tašmajdan and Pioneer Park. Her work addresses plant pests, pathogenic fungi, and maintenance challenges affecting coniferous vs. broadleaf trees. She also explores healing gardens and innovative landscape design methodologies.

Teaching Engagements: She teaches courses on Landscape Architectural Design 1, Elements of Landscape Architectural Design, and Methods for Evaluating Use Potential of Open Urban Spaces at all academic levels (basic, master's, doctoral).
