معرفی
Netta Engelhardt is an Israeli-American theoretical physicist and Biedenharn Career Development Associate Professor at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Her research focuses on resolving the black hole information paradox, exploring quantum information in black holes and Hawking radiation. She has affiliations with MIT's Center for Theoretical Physics.
- Education: B.Sc. in Physics and Mathematics from Brandeis University (2011), Ph.D. in Physics from the University of California, Santa Barbara (2016), advised by Gary Horowitz.
Engelhardt's work bridges general relativity, quantum mechanics, and information theory, with significant contributions to understanding black hole thermodynamics and spacetime geometry emergence. She has received numerous accolades, including:
- New Horizons in Physics Prize (2021)
- Blavatnik Award for Young Scientists (2019)
- Sloan Research Fellowship
- US Department of Energy Early Career Award
- Gribov Medal
