Nergis Uyan is the Director of the School of Foreign Languages (ScOLa) at Özyeğin University. She earned her Bachelor's degree in English Language Teaching from Middle East Technical University (METU) in 1995 and her MA in Educational Administration from Bilkent University in 2005. She also holds professional certifications including DTEFLA from the University of Cambridge (1999) and ADEM from Bilkent University (2001).
She previously held multiple roles at Bilkent University School of English Language (BUSEL) from 1995 to 2010, including English Language Instructor, Head of Teaching Unit, Teacher Development Coordinator, Teacher Trainer, and Member of the BUSEL Directorate. Since 2007, she has served as a CELTA Trainer. She joined Özyeğin University in the spring semester of the 2009-2010 academic year as Director of the School of Foreign Languages.
