Nelson Javier Hernandez is a Graduate Researcher in Speech Pathology at La Trobe University, affiliated with the Centre of Research Excellence in Aphasia Recovery and Rehabilitation. His PhD project, part of the Communication Connect initiative, focuses on improving rehabilitation and self-management for individuals with communication disabilities post-stroke or traumatic brain injury, alongside providing online platform support to families and clinicians. He holds an M.A. in Communication Sciences and Disorders from the University of Central Florida (2017–2019) and a Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
