Andrea Nelson is an Instructor and Director of Clinical Education at the Department of Communication Disorders and Deaf Education, College of Education and Allied Health Professions, Fontbonne University. She holds a BA in Communication Sciences and Disorders (University of Wisconsin – Eau Claire, 1998) and an MA in Speech-Language Pathology (University of Colorado, 2001). Her professional credentials include the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and Minnesota state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
Her academic focus integrates clinical education and practical training in communication disorders, emphasizing hands-on methodologies for future professionals. Courses taught include CDS548: Clinical Methods, which underscores evidence-based practices in speech-language pathology.
