Prof. Neil Schmid is a Professor affiliated with the Dunhuang Research Academy in Dunhuang, Gansu Province, China. He holds roles as a Fellow of the Central Asian History of Religions and the Center for Religious Studies, and serves as a Cooperation Partner for the BuddhistRoad initiative since December 2021. His work focuses on religious history in Central Asia and cultural heritage studies.
