Dr. Emanuela Garatti is a Research Fellow at Ruhr University Bochum, serving as Project Leader of INCENTER, Research Associate for the Central Asian History of Religions project, and Fellow of the Center for Religious Studies. Her current institutional base is at Universitätsstraße 90a, 44789 Bochum (Office 4.11).
Her research focuses on:
- Religious Studies with specialization in Central Asian contexts
- Historical transmission of Buddhist traditions along Eurasian trade routes
- Interreligious dynamics in pre-modern Central Asia
- Material culture of Silk Road religions
Dr. Garatti's project leadership spans both current initiatives and former affiliations, including her role as Researcher for the BuddhistRoad project. She maintains active collaboration with multidisciplinary research centers focused on religious history.
