Neil Robinson

Dr. Neil Robinson is a Research Fellow in Chemical Engineering at the University of Western Australia's School of Engineering. His research focuses on materials for energy applications, particularly hydrogen liquefaction catalysts and porous materials characterization using nuclear magnetic resonance techniques.

His current work develops novel spin conversion catalysts critical for efficient hydrogen liquefaction processes. Research interests include nuclear magnetic resonance methods for porous media analysis, hydrogen energy technologies, and catalytic materials design.

Robinson leads research on hydrogen cold energy systems funded by an Australian Research Council Discovery Project. He has developed innovative NMR characterization techniques applied to catalysts, zeolites, and cementitious materials. Recent publications demonstrate advances in hydrogen conversion kinetics and nanomaterial design for solar desalination.

Honors include the Forrest Research Foundation Fellowship and recognition as IChemE Global Awards Finalist. Robinson serves as Director of the Hydrogen Technical Section for the Society of Petroleum Engineers and represents the Pacific Region for Commonwealth Chemistry.
