Neil Harper

Dr. Neil Harper is an Associate Professor of Criminal Justice at Bryan College, where he teaches courses on leadership, justice administration, law enforcement, criminal investigations, forensic science, and ethics in the criminal justice system. With a multifaceted career spanning law enforcement, military service, and ministry, he brings real-world expertise to the classroom.

• Academic Degrees: Ph.D. in Leadership with Criminal Justice (University of the Cumberlands), D.Min. in Ministry Leadership (Liberty University), Th.M. in Practical Theology (Southern Baptist Theological Seminary), M.S. in Explosives Technology (Missouri University of Science & Technology), M.Div. in Christian Ministries (Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary), MPA in Criminal Justice (City University), and Graduate Certificate in Forensic Arson & Explosives (Oklahoma State University).

Dr. Harper's research focuses on integrating Christian worldview principles into criminal justice education, with specific emphasis on procedural justice, ethical leadership, and the role of faith-based values in law enforcement. His recent work includes theological analyses of leadership frameworks and pedagogical approaches for criminal justice professionals.

Current projects include a journal article on procedural justice from a Christian perspective (pending submission to Christian Education Journal) and a study on leadership role models for police executives (pending submission to American Criminal Justice Journal). He has presented at conferences on topics ranging from pandemic-era policing to ballistic information networks.
