Dr Neha Singh is an Associate Professor at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine (LSHTM), affiliated with the Department of Global Health and Development. She holds leadership roles as co-Director of the Health in Humanitarian Crises Centre and co-Programme Director of the MSc in Health in Humanitarian Crises. Her research focuses on health policy, systems, and financing in humanitarian crises, particularly addressing women’s, children’s, and adolescents’ health in conflict settings. She leads the RAISE study on vaccination equity in crises and co-leads the Afya Consortium’s sexual and reproductive health work in East Africa and the Middle East.
Dr Singh’s work emphasizes decolonizing research and promoting gender-transformative approaches, co-developing the first feminist-decolonial research guidance for forced displacement. She has contributed to Afghanistan’s health service framework and advises UN agencies and NGOs globally. Her teaching includes modules on Family Planning and Conflict and Health, though she currently does not supervise additional students.
Key achievements include over 90 publications, grants from major funders like the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, and roles as journal editor and peer reviewer. Her research spans vaccine governance, maternal health in outbreaks, and mental health in Lebanon, with a focus on equity and policy implementation.
