Negar Katirai is a Clinical Professor of Law and Director of the Gender Justice Workshop at the University of Arizona’s James E. Rogers College of Law, with a Visiting Fellowship at the European University Institute. She specializes in advancing gender equity, child welfare, and trauma-informed legal strategies through research, advocacy, and clinical education. Her work includes supervising students in legal representation for domestic violence survivors and policy development to address systemic inequalities.

Research Interests: Combines law and public health perspectives to address domestic violence, child custody disputes, and gender-based inequities. She has pioneered clinical programs integrating legal services with mental health support for survivors.
