Neerav Goyal

Dr. Neerav Goyal is a Professor at Penn State University, holding appointments in the Department of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery, Department of Neurosurgery, and Department of Public Health Sciences. He serves as the Vice Chair for Quality and Safety and Chief of the Division of Head and Neck Oncology and Surgery.

His research focuses on translational and clinical studies in head & neck/thyroid cancers, surgical robotics, and patient-reported outcomes. He evaluates post-treatment recovery modalities and surgical innovation.

Recent peer-reviewed publications (2025) address clinical guidelines adherence, rare thyroid pathologies, gender disparities in otolaryngology leadership, post-thyroidectomy hypocalcemia management, and hormone therapy-related thyroid cancer risks.
