Neeraj Sharma

Neeraj Sharma is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine (Clinician Educator) at the University of Southern California and serves as Program Director for the Nephrology Fellowship. Board-certified in nephrology and transplant nephrology, his clinical practice encompasses general nephrology and kidney transplantation. Dr. Sharma's research focuses on kidney allograft rejection management, strategies to increase transplantation access, and improving long-term graft survival.

He completed medical training at American University of Caribbean, internal medicine residency at Bronx Care Hospital Center, general nephrology fellowship at Rutgers, and transplant nephrology fellowship at USC. Since joining USC in 2018, he has contributed significantly to medical education for students, residents, and fellows.

Dr. Sharma's publications examine complex transplant complications including viral nephropathies, autoimmune-mediated allograft injuries, and management of marginal donor organs. His work also explores historical developments in nephrology and innovative approaches to renal anemia management.
