Dr. Brahm Vasudev is an Associate Professor and Medical Director of the Transplant Nephrology Fellowship Program at the Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW) and affiliated with Froedtert Hospital. He specializes in nephrology with a focus on kidney transplantation and critical care medicine. His clinical expertise includes acute and chronic kidney disease management, hypertension, electrolyte disorders, and transplant recipient care.
Dr. Vasudev completed his medical training at the University of Pune (1994), followed by residency in Internal Medicine at Brookdale Hospital Medical Center. He holds fellowships in Critical Care Medicine (Albert Einstein College of Medicine), Nephrology, and Transplant Nephrology from MCW.
His research interests center on kidney transplantation outcomes, BK virus infections in transplant recipients, donor-derived infections, and immunosuppression protocols. He has contributed to studies on viral nephropathies, post-transplant malignancies, and optimizing tacrolimus therapy.
Dr. Vasudev is board-certified in Internal Medicine and Nephrology, with clinical practice focused at Froedtert Hospital’s Center for Advanced Care. His work emphasizes evidence-based practices in managing transplant complications and improving renal patient outcomes.
