Neena Lakhani is a Senior Lecturer in Clinical Pharmacy and Pharmacy Practice at De Montfort University, affiliated with the Leicester School of Pharmacy within the Faculty of Health and Life Sciences. She is a registered pharmacist with the General Pharmaceutical Council and a member of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society, actively contributing to both academia and professional practice.

Her work often bridges academic research with NHS partnerships, particularly in primary care settings.

Neena leads multiple research and evaluation projects, often funded by NHS bodies and NIHR, including the Pharmacy First Minor Ailments Scheme and the South Asian Respiratory Intervention (SARIs) study. She has advised on and evaluated pharmacy services in collaboration with NHS trusts, GP practices, and the University of Leicester. Her leadership in IPE has been recognized by the General Pharmaceutical Council as a beacon of good teaching practice. She also serves on the Faculty Research Ethics Committee and the Faculty IPE Steering Committee at DMU.
She is actively involved in the Leicester Institute of Pharmaceutical Innovation for Integrated Care (LIPIIC) and collaborates with institutions such as UCL, the University of Leicester, and Glenfield Hospital. Her initiatives include clinical placement programs for pharmacy students in primary care and interprofessional e-learning projects focused on stroke and diabetes care.
