Neele Balke

Neele Balke is a Research Professor in the Kenneth C. Griffin Department of Economics at the University of Chicago. Her work focuses on international finance, labor economics, and optimal policies. She holds a PhD from University College London (2017) and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Chicago (2017-2018).

Her research investigates topics such as productivity shocks in labor markets, sovereign default impacts on employment, and time-consistent fiscal policies during debt crises.
