Ned Crowley is a College Lecturer in Human, Social and Political Sciences (HSPS) at Gonville & Caius College, University of Cambridge. He also holds the Isaac Newton Trust Academic Career Development Fellowship in Sociology. His research and teaching focus on political sociology, public finance, and social statistics.

His research explores the intersection of political and economic sociology, particularly analyzing public financial systems, fiscal austerity, and the political economy of decarbonization efforts in the UK. He investigates how regional inequalities and funding mechanisms shape climate policy implementation.
His scientific award includes the 2019 Society for the Advancement of Socio-economics Early Career Award. His publications address urban housing, fiscal policy, and right-wing populism.
