Dr. Nebil Achour is Associate Professor in Disaster Mitigation at Anglia Ruskin University, specializing in healthcare resilience to natural hazards. With over 20 years' experience, he develops strategies for maintaining healthcare functionality during disasters. His research informed WHO's Hospital Safety Index revision and includes post-disaster investigations like the 2011 Van Earthquake in Turkey.
As Royal Academy of Engineering Frontiers Champion, he leads projects on climate-resilient healthcare infrastructure. International collaborations include disaster risk reduction frameworks with WHO Europe and UNDRR.
