Nearchos Panayi

Nearchos Panayi is an Assistant Professor in Orthodontics at the School of Dentistry, European University Cyprus. His academic journey includes roles as a Research Scientist at the Athens Medical School (2019–2021) and a Visiting Research Scientist at the University of Zurich's Dental School (2021). He holds a Dental Surgeon degree from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (1997), followed by specialization in Orthodontics from Tel Aviv University (2001–2003), including a Master in Orthodontics (2003).

His research focuses on advancing 3D printing technologies in dentistry, particularly in orthodontic appliances. Key areas include material science for aligners, mechanical properties of printed brackets, and in-office customization workflows. He has co-authored over 25 peer-reviewed articles on topics like aligner durability, ceramic bracket fabrication, and AI-driven diagnosis.

Panayi actively contributes to professional boards, including the Cyprus Dental Council (2019–present) and Cyprus Dental Association (2010–present). His work bridges clinical practice with innovation, emphasizing sustainable materials and patient-centric solutions.
