Nazlı Terzioglu is a design researcher and educator at the Royal College of Art (RCA), School of Design. Her work focuses on interdisciplinary design methods to promote environmentally responsible behaviors, particularly in product repair and circular economy practices. She holds a PhD in Innovation Design Engineering from RCA, an MSc and BID in Industrial Design, and a BA in Sociology from Middle East Technical University.
Current roles include teaching in AcrossRCA, Grand Challenge Programmes, and MDes Design Futures. Previously, she served as a research fellow at Brunel University London (PISCES project on plastic packaging waste in Indonesia) and as a postdoctoral researcher at Linköping University, Sweden. Her research emphasizes user engagement with sustainable practices, repair culture, and design education.
Key publications explore repair motivation models, reusable packaging systems, and design education frameworks for sustainability. Her work bridges technical innovation with sociocultural aspects of consumption patterns. Nazlı’s contributions advance practical strategies for fostering repair behaviors and reducing waste through design interventions.
