Navodana Rodrigo is a Lecturer in the School of Architecture and Civil Engineering at the University of Adelaide, within the Faculty of Sciences, Engineering and Technology. She holds a BSc (First Class Honours) in Quantity Surveying from the University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka, and previously served as a lecturer there before completing her PhD at Western Sydney University. Her research focuses on sustainable construction practices, blockchain technology integration in construction supply chains, embodied carbon reduction, and disaster-resilient infrastructure. She is eligible to supervise Masters and PhD students in these areas.
Dr. Rodrigo’s work emphasizes transformative technologies like blockchain for enhancing transparency and sustainability in construction. She has authored over 30 peer-reviewed articles, including studies on circular economy frameworks, digital twin applications, and policy mapping for net-zero carbon buildings. Her awards include the 2021 3MT People’s Choice Award, 2020 Award for Excellence in Higher Degree Research, and recognition at the IRSD 2020 conference.
Her professional activities include contributions to conferences and competitions, such as the CIB c4SMC Collective Sensemaking Research Competition. She actively engages with industry challenges through research on embodied carbon estimation tools, smart contracts for property transactions, and socio-technical systems in irrigation management.
