Naveeda Khan

Naveeda Khan is a Professor and Department Chair in the Department of Anthropology at Johns Hopkins University, affiliated with the Krieger School of Arts & Sciences. Her work bridges environmental anthropology, climate policy, and Islamic theology, with a focus on Bangladesh and global South contexts. She holds a BA from Vassar College, MA from The New School, and PhD from Columbia University.

Research interests include riverine societies, climate governance, animal-human relations, and the intersection of Islamic thought with nature.
