Naveed Janjua

Dr. Naveed Janjua is a Clinical Professor at the University of British Columbia's School of Population and Public Health and serves as the Executive Director of Data and Analytic Services at the British Columbia Centre for Disease Control (BCCDC). His academic and professional work focuses on population health, epidemiology, and public health data analytics.

Dr. Janjua's research interests encompass infectious diseases (particularly hepatitis B and C, and COVID-19), health disparities, syndemics of psychosocial conditions with infections and chronic diseases, health outcomes, intervention effectiveness, and health surveillance systems. His work has significantly influenced clinical and public health guidelines and policies in Canada and internationally.

His research portfolio includes leading major cohort studies such as the BC Hepatitis Testers Cohort, the BC COVID-19 Cohort, and the BC Mix COVID-19 Survey.
