Natthapol Songdej, MD, MPH, is an Associate Professor in the Department of Medicine and Department of Pediatrics at the Pennsylvania State University School of Medicine. He is affiliated with the Penn State Cancer Institute and holds dual roles in the Division of Blood and Vascular Disorders and the Division of Hematology and Oncology. His research focuses on hematology and oncology, particularly investigating transcription factors like RUNX1, platelet biology, and the clinical outcomes of cancer survivors. He has contributed to studies on coagulation mechanisms in RUNX1 haplodeficiency and the psychosocial aspects of adolescent and young adult cancer survivors.
Dr. Songdej has been recognized with the Dean's Award for Excellence in Teaching in both 2021 and 2023. His work spans translational research and clinical studies, with recent publications addressing hematopoietic stem cell transplantation complications, cancer survivorship, and molecular mechanisms in blood disorders.
