Nathaniel Lane is Associate Professor of Economics at the University of Oxford, affiliated with Merton College. His research examines industrial policy, economic development, and political economy with regional expertise in East Asia and Vietnam.
Lane's scholarship focuses on historical and contemporary dimensions of industrialization processes. Major research themes include: the political economy of industrial policy design and implementation; historical legacies influencing economic development; and quantitative approaches to measuring policy impacts.
