Nathaniel Foster is the Executive Dean of the School of Integrated Health at Indiana Wesleyan University (IWU), holding an academic rank of Associate Professor in Athletic Training. He has been at IWU since 2006, previously serving as Interim Dean of the School of Health Sciences and Program Director for the Post-Professional Master’s in Athletic Training. His roles include clinical and administrative leadership in athletic training and mental health counseling.

Research Interests: Focuses on the intersection of athletic training and sport psychology, particularly athletes’ mental performance and spirituality. Recent work explores trauma recovery among first responders, utilizing EMDR therapy for PTSD. He integrates performance psychology techniques into workplace and personal environments, as demonstrated through his triathlon achievements and sabbatical work at the Brain Performance and Psychology Center in Indianapolis.
Professional Credentials: Holds certifications including LAT (Licensed Athletic Trainer), ATC (Athletic Trainer Certified), NCC (National Certified Counselor), and LMHC-A (Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate).
