معرفی
Nathan David Brown is an Assistant Professor in Earth and Environmental Sciences at the University of Texas at Arlington (UTA). His research applies luminescence dating and thermochronology to study landscape evolution, tectonic processes, and climate interactions. He directs the Quaternary Geochronology Group and leads NSF-funded projects on aeolian abrasion and ice sheet dynamics.
Research Focus: Integrates field observations with geochronometric techniques to decode Earth surface processes across millennial timescales. Key themes include tectonic uplift impacts, sediment transport, and paleoenvironmental reconstructions.
Awards: Recognized for excellence in research (UTA Enhancement Award, Rising STARs Award) and teaching (UCLA Excellence Awards).
Advising: Mentors graduate students in geochronology projects and teaches courses in Mineralogy, Field Geology, and Geochronology.
Laboratories: Operates the UTA Luminescence Laboratory for sediment and bedrock analysis.
