Nathan Barker is an Associate Professor in the Computer Science department at Southern Utah University (SUU), where he focuses on teaching and mentoring students. He obtained his bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, and German from SUU and later earned his doctorate in Computer Science from the University of Utah.
Dr. Barker teaches courses such as CS 1000 Introduction to Computer Applications, CS 2420 Intermediate Algorithms/Data Structures, CS 3000 Advanced Algorithms/Data Structures, CS 3300 Mobile App Development for Android, and CS 3400 Graphics Programming. His research interests include problem-solving methodologies, recursion, and the application of computing to emerging technologies like self-driving cars, drones, smart devices, and virtual reality.
