Nathalie Zahra

Nathalie Zahra is a Senior Lecturer at Anglia Ruskin University (ARU), based in the Faculty of Science and Engineering within the Life Sciences school. Her expertise lies in forensic science, particularly forensic genetics and fingerprint comparison. She joined ARU in 2016 and teaches modules in forensic biology, including BSc (Hons) Forensic Science and MSc Forensic Science programs.

She is a court-certified fingerprint expert and member of professional bodies including the International Society of Forensic Genetics (ISFG) and the International Association for Identification (IAI).

Her work bridges academic research and industry applications, with prior roles as a Research Associate at the Wellcome Trust Centre for Human Genetics (WTCHG) and Post-Doc positions at the University of Leicester. She leads teaching in forensic methodologies and mass disaster identification techniques, reflecting her commitment to advancing forensic science education and practice.
