Nathalie Szczech

Nathalie Szczech is a Lecturer at the University of Bordeaux Montaigne, affiliated with the Department of History and the CEMMC host team. She is also a junior member of the Institut universitaire de France (2019 class) and an associate researcher on the SETAF project.

Her research focuses on the history of the Reformations in the 16th century, particularly the polemical corpus of Jean Calvin at the intersection of religious history, the history of the book, and discourse analysis. She is currently leading the project "Ministers and the Ministry of the Word," funded by the Institut universitaire de France, which investigates the formation of pastoral authority during the early Reformation period.

• Education: Doctoral thesis on Jean Calvin's polemical works, published as Calvin in polemics. A maieutics of the verb (Classique Garnier, 2016).
