Nathalie Boukpeti

Nathalie Boukpeti is a researcher at the Centre for Offshore Foundation Systems (COFS) at the University of Western Australia, specializing in geotechnical engineering and soil mechanics. She holds a PhD from the University of Minnesota and an Engineer Diploma from INSA Lyon. Her research focuses on soil characterization, laboratory testing, and constitutive modelling for offshore and geotechnical applications.

Research interests include soil-interface strength, effects of sampling disturbance, cyclic behavior of offshore sediments, and settlement prediction of subsea foundations. Her work has industrial relevance for civil, mining, and offshore engineering infrastructure design.

Her publications primarily focus on experimental geotechnics, soil behavior characterization, and offshore foundation systems. She has taught geomechanics courses and contributes to projects on fine-grained soils and carbonate soil behavior.
