Dr Natasha Reid is a Senior Research Fellow at the Centre for Health Services Research under the Faculty of Health, Medicine and Behavioural Sciences at The University of Queensland. She is an epidemiologist specializing in frailty, geriatric assessment, and aging research, with a focus on improving quality of life and healthy life expectancy for vulnerable populations.
- PhD in Physical Activity and Sedentary Behavior from The University of Queensland
- Current projects: frailty measurement in kidney transplantation, epigenetic changes post-transplant, and comprehensive geriatric assessment for patients with cancer, mental illness, and vascular disease
Research Interests center on frailty epidemiology, intervention design, and dissemination strategies across diverse clinical settings. Her work bridges geriatric medicine with public health, digital health, and implementation science.
Recent publications highlight her expertise in frailty indices, sex-based differences in cognitive decline, and telehealth applications in aged care. She leads national initiatives like the Australian Frailty Network to coordinate consumer-driven research agendas.
