Natasha Rebry serves as a Lecturer in the Academic Writing Program within the Faculty of Arts & Science at the University of Lethbridge, a position she has held since 2015 after previously teaching in the Faculty of Creative and Critical Studies at UBC Okanagan Campus.
Her academic credentials include:
- PhD in Interdisciplinary Studies, University of British Columbia
- MA in English and History, Wilfrid Laurier University
- BA in English and History, Wilfrid Laurier University
Dr. Rebry's research synthesizes cultural studies, discourse analysis, and rhetorical theory to investigate language's role in shaping identity and social attitudes, with specialized expertise in horror literature. Her published scholarship examines mesmerism in Richard Marsh's fiction, Arthur Machen's neurological discourse, Anna Kingsford's Victorian vegetarian advocacy, and H.P. Lovecraft's non-anthropocentric ethics. Current projects analyze media representations of the human microbiome and cultural narratives of human multiplicity across clinical, pop-cultural, and journalistic contexts.
She maintains active engagement with horror genre communities through creature feature film consumption and birdwatching ('real life Pokémon'), while contributing to academic discourse through interdisciplinary pedagogy in rhetoric and composition.
