Natasha Archer, MD, MPH, is an Instructor in Pediatrics at Harvard Medical School and an affiliate of the Department of Global Health and Social Medicine. She is also an Associate Physician in the Division of Global Health Equity at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and serves as the Senior Health and Policy Advisor for Hematology at Zanmi Lasante (Partners In Health’s Haitian affiliate). Her work focuses on pediatric hematology/oncology, particularly sickle cell disease care delivery in low-resource settings and the intersection of hemoglobinopathies and malaria.
Dr. Archer earned her BS from Yale College (1999), MD from Yale University School of Medicine (2006), and MPH from Harvard School of Public Health (2011). She completed a Medicine and Pediatrics residency at Harvard’s Combined Internal Medicine/Pediatrics program (2011) and a Pediatric Hematology/Oncology fellowship at Dana-Farber/Boston Children’s Cancer and Blood Disorders Center (2014). She also holds a Doris and Howard Hiatt Global Health Equity Residency (2011).
Her research emphasizes global health equity, including the implementation of sickle cell screening programs in resource-limited regions and the biological interplay between hemoglobin variants and malaria. She is affiliated with Partners In Health, Dana-Farber/Boston Children’s, and Harvard’s Global Health Delivery programs.
