Natalya Evans is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Oceanography at Dalhousie University's Faculty of Science. Her research focuses on biogeochemistry, deoxygenation, monitoring marine carbon dioxide removal, and trace metal oceanography.
- BSc - Chemistry, Harvey Mudd College
- PhD - Ocean Science, University of Southern California
Her work explores geochemical impacts of carbon storage, nutrient cycling in marine environments, and trace metal dynamics. Recent publications address biomass storage in anoxic basins, iron redox cycling on the Oregon shelf, and queer- and trans-inclusive faculty hiring practices.
Academic contributions span marine biogeochemistry, environmental science, and social sciences. She is affiliated with Dalhousie University's Oceanography department in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
