Natalya Ann Lindo

Natalya Ann Lindo is a Professor and Department Chair in the Department of Counseling and Higher Education at the University of North Texas, where she leads academic and research initiatives in counseling and higher education. Her work bridges clinical practice and educational policy, with a strong emphasis on child and family well-being in school settings.

Dr. Lindo developed the innovative Child and Adolescent Career Construction Interview, a tool designed to enhance self-concept, occupational identity, and career adaptability in youth. This reflects her integrative approach to counseling, combining developmental psychology with career theory.

She actively collaborates with school administrators and counselors to design and implement school-wide mental health initiatives aimed at reducing school failure among at-risk children. Her work emphasizes capacity building within educational systems to support long-term student success.
