Nataliya Zhukova is an academic affiliate at Monash University, associated with the Hudson Institute's Centre for Endocrinology and Metabolism and Centre for Cancer Research. She holds a Doctorate by Research from the Hudson Institute's Department of Molecular and Translational Science. Her work focuses on pediatric oncology, cancer genetics, and translational medicine, with a particular emphasis on identifying therapeutic opportunities in childhood cancers and genetic disorders like Constitutional Mismatch Repair Deficiency (CMMRD).
Her research has contributed to understanding molecular drivers of infantile gliomas and developing diagnostic assays for genetic disorders. She is a Chief Investigator in an active project (2025–2027) developing medulloblastoma organoid models for drug screening. Zhukova’s publications span high-impact journals such as Cancer Cell and Nature Communications, addressing therapeutic targets, genetic alterations, and clinical management strategies in pediatric cancers.
Her recent work includes investigations into ALK/ROS1/NTRK/MET-driven gliomas and the use of bevacizumab in pediatric glioma treatment. Collaborations span global institutions, reflecting her contributions to global cancer research networks.
